Primary Care Specialties and Services

Our pediatricians specialize in the health and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents. They provide a wide range of pediatric primary care services for patients and families, including routine preventive care like “well child” check-ups and vaccinations to diagnosing and treating illnesses.

Our team works closely with parents to provide the best possible personalized physical, behavioral, and emotional healthcare to their children, and we partner with other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care throughout a child’s formative years.

Appointment services

Same-Day Sick Visits

We do not have “Walk in Hours”, but we make every attempt to allow ample appointments slots in our schedule to accommodate sick visits. During the winter cold and flu season, we open our schedules up for more sick visits. If by chance you are unable to obtain a same-day appointment with your regular pediatrician, we will help you find an available appointment with another provider in our primary care network.

If you believe a life-threatening medical condition is present, call 9-1-1.

Immunizations

We believe very strongly in the importance of childhood immunizations, and to adhere to the immunization schedule recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). If you feel differently and do not wish to immunize your child according to the schedule, we may not be the right practice for you.

Sports physicals

Many school districts require sports clearance before participation in intramural sports beginning in 7th grade. If your child will or might be playing sports within the next year and will need a completed sports physical, please let us know at the time of your child’s well-check.

New patients

We specialize in pediatric care from birth through adolescence. If you are interested in choosing a Valley Children's Medical Group pediatrician as your child’s primary care physician, please call us at any of our local offices. We also offer services for expectant parents who are established with our group. Once your baby is born, one of our pediatricians will visit you in the hospital, assess your newborn’s health, and answer any questions you may have.

Well child checkups

The benefits of well child visits include prevention of childhood illnesses, tracking growth and development and an opportunity for you to ask questions or raise concerns about specific items such as sleep or behavior. We recommend following the Bright Futures/American Academy of Pediatrics schedule for routine checkups.
