Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center

Families in Kern County have turned to Valley Children's Hospital to care for their children since we opened our doors in 1952. When we asked how we could better support families and primary care physicians in the South Valley, the overwhelming response was to bring pediatric specialists to their community. In spring of 2015, our Medical Group opened the 34th Street Specialty Care Center in central Bakersfield. Last year, our providers saw more than 5,500 visits at the outpatient center. That number is expected to grow to more than 42,000 outpatient visits within the next decade. To meet that need, Valley Children's has built a specialty care center in southwest Bakersfield (Stockdale Highway and Allen Road). Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center, which opened in October 2018, is a 52,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical center designed for children, providing the best pediatric specialty care in the Valley.
