About Me
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Rhonda Keosheyan joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric hospitalist in 2000 and serves as the medical director of Valley Children’s pediatric hospitalist group.
Dr. Keosheyan is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honor society. An expert in pediatrics, she has given many lectures on pediatric topics including urinary tract infections, meningitis and RSV.
Beyond her clinical duties, Dr. Keosheyan serves in a number of leadership and advisory roles within Valley Children’s and the Fresno community. She currently holds the positions of medical director of Valley Children’s Utilization Management Subcommittee, chair of the Pharmacy, Therapeutics, and Utilization Committee, and medical director of the Apollo and Discovery acute care units. Additionally, she has participated in the Specialty Medical Group (SMG) Board since 2011, including serving as chair of SMG’s Compensation and Benefits Subcommittee. Dr. Keosheyan is a core faculty member of Valley Children’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)-Fresno.
Dr. Keosheyan’s collaborative approach and dedication to teaching has earned accolades from her colleagues. In her more than 20 years of service at Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group, she has received the Distinguished Teacher Award, Physician of the Year, Enterprising Program Award and Most Inspiring Attending. In 2022, Dr. Keosheyan was awarded the Patriotic Employer award, a recognition given to supervisors who support Guard and Reservist members of the United States military.
Active in the community, Dr. Keosheyan serves as the medical advisor for the Fresno Unified School District nursing staff. She has also participated in Sunnyside Academy’s Doctors In Training Program, in which high school students shadow physicians to learn about the medical profession.
Dr. Keosheyan graduated from the Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at the UCSF-Fresno Medical Education Program, based at University Medical Center in Fresno and Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. She served as chief resident during her medical training with UCSF-Fresno Medical Education Program.
