La Tienda Guild (1952)

Since it establishment in 1952, La Tienda Guild, much like the Valley Children's, has grown and expanded. Its store, La Tienda Thrift Shop, opened its doors the same year as Valley Children’s Hospital, and has since raised more than $2 Million. The thrift shop is one of the oldest of its kind in Fresno and is staffed entirely by La Tienda Guild members. In 1966, it moved from its original site on Van Ness Ave. to a house on Fulton Street and finally to its current home in the Tower District.

All are invited to join La Tienda Guild, but be prepared to work weekly shifts at the shop, build friendships and raise funds for Valley Children’s!
